Uber Marketplace

Everyone loves Uber, but they didn’t always. As part of their growing pains, everyone’s favorite ride share company was having trouble relaying how their product (and the algorithm) worked for riders and drivers. I was lead writer on this campaign working with Uber to turn this datagasm into digestible content for their customers.

The Website

It took literally weeks just to understand all this stuff before we began making the creative. When we were finished, Uber had a website (that still stands!) full of really great information about how ride sharing works in an open marketplace, how surge pricing isn’t price gouging, and answers to a whole bevy of questions.

The Films

I wrote scripts and went to Uber HQ to prep actual Uber employees on how to best tell the story of the products they built. It was no small feat, but they pulled it off and we ended up creating a pretty interesting content series about some pretty dry information. Here’s a few of the them…
